Welcome!

Welcome to the Eco Eco Aus blog!  Here you will find posts that explore a range of topics from ecological economics, value, happiness and using economics in the everyday world.  The blog will primarily be designed to explore my growing understandings of being an Ecological Economist but will also explore how economics can be used to understand happiness and value.

By design, the blog will not be limited to one topic or theme and will remain open to a variety of topics to allow the full creative flow of inspiration to continue. The idea is that the blog encompasses the fullness of a learning journey that cannot be limited to one theme or part of life as nothing is separate from the whole. Everything is connected to everything else and by allowing the economics of happiness to blend and merge with the economics of the environment the understandings between the two fields deepen by more than the sum of its parts.

At its heart, it chronicles my own journey of professional and creative learning that I want to share with others. It is a journey that began some years ago as an undergrad at University just trying to make sense of big, complicated topics I didn't (but needed to) understand. While part of it will chronicle how I used economics to help me find a true, deep sense of joy and contentment in the world, the main portion of this blog will be used to explore my understanding of ecological economics and my growth from a budding professional into a full-fledged professional with my own unique and indelible mark to leave on the world. Topics around value, underpinning assumptions, and living in harmony with the natural world will be continuously explored within this blog. They are values deep in my heart that inform all my practice and make the backbone of my practice as an Ecological Economist.

My hope from this blog is that it will provide something of value to readers from all levels of economic knowledge and from all streams of economics whether is a new way to use economics to inform our connection to nature or our connection to self.

Enjoy!
